Seems to work better, holds it in place and the ends aren't as bunch up to get a good seal. Good work, it's fun huh!!
Yeah I know...but if I need to cut it down, at least I'll have something to cut. I think that the temp is going to be in the upper 50's so it might be more than enough.

Did you attach it at the ends, the middle, or both?

I used shock cord throughout, and attached the end of each side by running it through a cord lock, through a biner attached to the prussik and then back down through the cord lock. This allowed me to adjust the tension with the cordlock. Works very well, keeps it centered and allows me to move the UQ from head to foot at will. Much better coverage than when I had just attached it at the head and end of the hammock. Also note in pic the cord lock in the center of the end to adjust tension to gather the ends as needed.

The stuff is turning out to be God's gift to the hammocking world.
Thin, Light, Warm, Tough... what more could you ask for?

Hmmm... the Insultex.com web site says IX is waterproof and impermeable. However, the owner of the company told me it is microperforated and breathable. Our experience at HF is that it is essentially a vapor barrier; in other words, if it is breathable, it breaths very slowly. I've squeezed water through it, and the tiny microperforations were evident by the streams of water shooting out.

Anyway, it works very well to insulate hammocks!
