Isn't this a picture from Moon's Landing looking over to the Island?

Yes that is a picture of Goat Island from Moons Landing.
When I called it a 5 min paddle I guess I was exaggerating.
For me it seemed a short distance, but I paddle very often so it might not be as short as it felt like to me.

I think Dameons son paddled most of the distance himself. Dameon only keeping the canoe strait. Is that right Dameon?

0.7 miles is probably fairly accurate . . . & glad you are coming!

I have a fairly large tarp (maybe 20'x12' ??) that I can bring over but it will have to be hung. I have no poles for it but I'll bring it with hopes of being able to find a good and convenient hanging spot.

as long as you get up enough speed, you might be able to coast the rest of the way !

He did paddle a good bit on the way over, I helped and it still only took us maybe 15 or 20 mins wouldn't you say?? Slightly different story on the way back though if you remember lol.

Oh and I found some fresh green peanuts for boiling, the guy said he'd have them waiting on me Thursday

If there is anyone that is counting on me to pick them up from the landing let me know and I will send you my cell number so that you can let me know when you get there so I can come get you! I figure for the people with kayaks and canoes you should just come on over and bring whatever you can and if you need some help getting supplies over we'll figure it out when you get there!!

    food/lowcountry boil?

Okay, so muskrat said I should bring a 5lb bag of red potatoes.... is this still accurate? I've lost track of who's doing the major part of the cooking
