I'm not going to make it tonight. Maybe in the morning.

If any body is reading who can call the group at Goat Island...I won't be able to go. Dr. grounded me yesterday for crazy high blood pressure. Was thinking of going any way, but husband ask me to stay home, so I will. Very bummed about it. Since i'm not a hiker this is one of the only hangs that would have suited my abilities. Was so looking forward to meeting you guys! Hope the hang is a success! Yea, for the cooler weather! Katie
Katie,
I am on my way there today and will pass the bad news that you won't be there along -- though I think that at least Dameon is checking this thread from there.
If someone there is reading this, I'll be there in a little while and will need to bum a boat ride from someone. LandDad and LandWife are having to pass this time. I almost had to m'self.

Hey guys,
I just arrived home from the event. I know y'all are still on the island at the time of this writing, but I wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome and allowing me to crash your event. Thanks for showing me all your stuff. I'm honored that y'all would take the time to fill me in on hammocks. I hope to be a part of a hang soon.
Well, it's now 1:15 Sunday and I'm showered and feeling human again!!
I want to thank Muskrat, Dameon, Ricegravy and anyone else who helped put this hang together. I had a great time!
Even though my thermometer on the hammock read 99.3*F on Friday afternoon!!!! I believe I may have lost a couple of pds. even after that incredible low country boil!!
Anyways, this is a thank you to all, and I'll let one of the more eloquent writers do the actual trip report.(unfortunately, I didn't have a camera, but others were taking pics left & right.)

Made it back a few hours ago, had loads of fun!!
The peanuts were great (if I do say so myself) The boil was awesome, and to top it all off will some peach cobbler, perfect!!
Tell me that don't look delicious! Ricegravy bit it!
It only took about 5 minutes to go from this
To this
With everyone doing this!
Here are the rest of the pics I took if anyone is interested!!
