Linville Gorge Overnight May 2010 - Part 2

In which we awaken to the slow snap of rain on our tarps,
enjoy a leisurely morning, pack our gear, celebrate Shug's birthday,
and head out of the Gorge for a meal at Louise's.

It's beautiful in the fall as well, and most points in between.

I am sure it is So many places I want to go hang and hike. The Gorge is up there on the list, along with getting down to MS/AL again to hike with everyone down there, AZ, the Northern hang, CO, WY in the Winds, and the list keeps growing with every video and set of pictures everyone here posts. So many cool places in the backountry all over the place. Now anybody have this weeks loto numbers? Hey now there is a new group buy idea

Well, Hawk-eye, a great ending to the videos. The mention of Jerry was top notch!
My wife and kids watched both, and at the end of the second she says," What a nice bunch of guys, no wonder you like going to these hangs!"
I couldn't believe it! Who knows maybe she's starting to understand.

Take it from an old fart my ginger friend ... you have to make those somedays and not wait for them. They might not come on their own!
