    Question Recommendation for collapsible stand?

I live in an apartment and would like to hang indoors, plus it could be a nice extra bed when friend's spend the night.

Anyhow, I'm unsure about putting hooks into the walls - I'm capable, but not sure if I'll be pulling the walls down :-( - Although I'd prefer something simple like that.

So this leaves me with the hammock stand option. I have an ENO doublenest - any recommendations on a stand that I can easily fold/take apart to hide away as needed but still works well?

    Thanks for your help!

I just rebuilt my stand this past weekend. I forget whos Idea it was....

But I went with an untreated 4x4 and 2 poles using EMT 1.5" conduit.

I dont even know where to begin to search for the thread.. But it works great. Ill see if I can find it.

I built TrailH4x PHS...used it this past weekend for a Boy Scout Camporee (in a field). Everyone else was on the ground, through the rain (and hail). I enjoyed the Hammock, covered with a Kelty 9. Although my poling system didn't hold up to the wind.

I had used old tent poles to extend the arms of the stand so the fly would fit. Well, I didn't tie them down; instead I just put a tent peg through the grommets and then into the tent pole. The heavy winds beat the stew out of the poles, bending and breaking them. I think the next solution will be to tie down the poles, reducing the one direction tension.

The solution that night was to "borrow" my son's smaller Cabela's tarp...it fits the PHS arms eyehooks perfectly (hmmm, maybe I should just repossess that tarp from him for failure to make his timely payment)?
