    Hammock side guys

I noticed when I set my new Expidition A-Sym up that the guy lines from the sides at each A-Sym point are shock cords. Has anyone replaced these with static line, and if so what were the results?

You want them to be shock cord so that there is a gentle give when you get in the hammock. A static line is sure to cause problems.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

The results would be pulling your stakes out of the ground or tearing your hammock.

    And welcome to HF, Oxblood!
