Long time hiker, first time hanger. Just got the ENO Doublenest for a birthday. I have been very interested in getting into hammock camping as my hips and back have begun protesting the sleep pad. I'm gettin' a little old.

I can't wait to get this thing in the woods. I will be working this week on my tarp set up and a bug net of some sort. Can't sleep nwith spiders.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge. I do appreciate everyone sharing. I am hoping to pass this bug on to my daughters, one of whom already hikes with me and another itchin' to go.

Welcome, GA-MTN-MAN! And all you other recent GA folks, there has suddenly been a huge influx from GA! As one born and raised in GA( lived in Rome, Columbus, Blakely, Bainbridge, Warner Robbins) good to have y'all joining the dark side!

Welcome from the other white meat... wait that's not right... welcome from the other South Carolina! Yeah, that's it. We're the South Carolina with fewer hills but more sand in yer shorts and we smell like coconut oil (the suntan kind, not the popcorn kind).

Thank you everyone. I am truly excited to start what I believe is a new dimension of hiking for me! I got a WallyWorld tarp for protection at the moment. A stop gap. But already I see that I will be looking to "build" my own little dream tarp as a DYI.

Can't let the wife know. She hates it when I pick up hobbies. They always come with so much stuff.........
