Big Agnes sleeping bag with Pad insert

In the process of looking for a new Sleeping bag and came across the Big Agnes. The feature that seems interesting to me was it had a "sleave" on the backend of the sleeping bag that you could put your theremarest Pad into to keep it from sliding around.

I was wondering how this might work with a hammock. Anyone have any experience with this?

Curious as to why you'd be interested in a bag with a sleeve for a sleeping pad when the Deep Jungle is a double layer hammock. It's the gram weenie in me, but you'd be carrying extra weight for no reason....unless, you're wanting something good for the air or the ground.

Never used one, but I've read plenty of posts about having positive experiences with them.

I have the Cross Mountain in a long left zip with the Air Core and discovered that I needed to add the Sleeping Giant memory foam pad to it to keep from waking up with a cold backside.

I like it.

I actually use the Big Agnes Skinny Fish with the Big Agnes inflatable pad. Just last night I used both in my ENO Double Nest. As this was my first experience sleeping in a hammock it took me some time to get them both in the hammock. I attribute this to already having the tarp over the hammock. Again, first time learning curve.
I absolutely LOVE my Big Agnes bag. I am 6'3" and 265 and it fits me with some additional room to move. I do like the integrated pad option as well. I am a mover while sleeping. Well, I was before hanging. If you don't already have it you can feel confident in purchasing one. In my humble opinion, at least.

I understand your question but my thinking is based on only a couple facts.

I have only had a very limited experience staying in my Hammock but in my only week using my Hammock with the included bubble pad there was one night that I still seemed a little cool and this was a somewhat summer month.

Since I am in the market for a new sleeping bag anyway and still own a thermarest pad from my tent days I was wondering if this might be a good consideration to use during some cooler nights if it came to it.

Still kind of thinking out loud.

BAs get discussed from time to time, here. Do a search, and you'll be richly rewarded.

I'm lukewarm on mine...it takes some doing to keep the pad under my feet.

As for pads, I've tried several...the one I cut out of ccf is the best and lightest. The Sleeping Giant is heavy, as is the "thermarest" knock off.

A Thermarest won't fit in a BA mummy...it takes a tapered pad.

Just did a google search on the Big Agnes model that I was looking at "Classic Fish Hawk" and it says that a 20X72 Pad would fit. I think I should not have any problems with my Thermarest.

Yeah...even though it looks like a mummy, BA calls it a rectangular bag.
