    Seam Sealant?

Does an HH need to be seam sealed at all before using? Tarp or hammock?

    Thanks,
    Truehart

no your hammock doesn't need it ... it's not waterproof but breathable. As far as your HH tarp ... last one I got was seam sealed so I don't think it needs it. You can check if you already have one ... it'll be obvious.

The HH tarp I have is seam taped so you should not need anything more. If you look at the tarp and it has what looks like a strip of clear tape on one side of the seam you are good to go, if not then you should get some seam grip or sil net depending on which tarp it is.

Mine (the large Hex tarp) was factory sealed.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

I actually got a confirmation of that in an email from HH customer service.
