Seems that's kinda tight space to light a Swedish Candle ... but can't wait to see you set that rig up. Pictures from you'all's trip this weekend really made it look interesting!

Also sounds like there might be a bunch of camp stools at this gathering!

With my pack, 5 days of food and 1.5 ltrs of water and 8 oz of fuel, I am at 29 lbs!!!

Base weight (no fuel, no water, no food) 13.5 lbs

Yea baby!!!

Come along way from a 45 lb pack with everything. Winter, well add 7 to 10 lbs. Sounds about right.

Nice feeling isn't it? You can probably shave that down once you get there and determine what hikes you want to do. We'll be shuttling so in theory we can set up drops for supplies or cars to come back to base camp. Got a lot of options.
One guy's thinking of parking on the opposite side and hike out the last day and do an overnighter on the way out. Might even come up with a new plan once ya get there and chat with all the folks.

HA ... well that's changed already since original post ... LOVE IT!!!! Well not so much the thunderstorms??? But cold is good! More clouds in forecast than a few days ago!

Looks like a cold front is forecast. Often, the weather moves faster than they predict. If that happens, we could see two nights at 25*F while we are at the Gorge.
