Anyone ever tried using a material like this for a hammock?
Not cheap, but might work to help cut the wind and thus not need anything underneath.

How much does it weigh?
I think that you would still need some bottom insulation. The wind will cool the surface of what ever it hits and cool it. It would have to be pretty thick not cool all the way through. Same theory with a windproof shell jacket. The jacket breaks the wind, and the midlayer keeps you warm.
Looks interesting though.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
