I think Spidey does in fact sleep in his spider-hammock, and since he is a human being with spider strength and abilities, he isn't killed by neurologic poisoning like all of the other insects
(read-Super Bad Bugs ((SBB)) ).
I have treated my hammock and tarp with permethrin, and haven't experienced any problems so far, except for a more restful sleep which cuts into the time spent on the trail (less)...oh well, sometimes solo hiking is a good thingee.
A snoring we will go Barefoot Child
"If'n I'm gonna fall, someone is gonna' watch."
I have not treated the huggers or full length of webbing. But I have treated either the suspension rope or webbing for a few inches right where they come out of the hammock, plus the last few inches of the hammock. And any other likely trouble spot. Seems to have worked.
Apparently, signature that I used from 2006 no longer tolerated so now deleted.
