i made a whoopie sling last night,

    those things are great!
im really impressed, it was really easy to make and amsteel is so cool.
i cant wait to use it, besides in the back yard,

i ordered a bunch of polyester wedding from paul, AHE, once that gets in, ill be able to cut the tree straps for my single layer with the whoopies, and the straps for the double layer with cinch buckles.
right now i have some 1 inch nylon straps that i got from the army navy store, that stuff streches way to much!
    i saw jalfords post,
im going to have to come up with a way to add a bug net, i really like how his can zip off, i might try to make one that comes all the way off.

    Bananas!!!

man, i gave the double layer i made to my friend, and the other day alot of us were a park, and we both set our hammocks up between trees, and he was laying in it like a banana(i had already given him the proper technique!)
but hes laying in it straight down the ridgeline and i get out and tell him to lay in it the right way, and ask him how much more comfortable it is, and how much of a flatter lay you get, but hes perfectly content to lay in it straight,
he says "yeah but i can wrap the sides around me, so i dont need a quilt!"
    argggh!
