I was there last spring. It's beautiful. Nice trails (and geocaches if you're interested) and nice folks too.

I wasn't looking with my hammock hanging eyes as I was day hiking but if memory serves you'll have no problem.

Nice place but not every site is condusive to hanging. You will have to pick your sites carefully.

I camped in Skidaway a few years ago, before I discovered hammocks. The sites are beautiful - heavily shaded, lots of wildlife, palm trees and spanish moss everywhere.

I would STRONGLY recommend a day trip to Tybee Island while you're there. Nice beaches, and lots of fun stuff to do. The most important thing is to visit The Crab Shack.

You MUST visit The Crab Shack. The "sampler for one" is a massive mountain of food of epic proportions. And it is DELICIOUS.

Sounds like I better begrudgingly throw in a tent just in case. Thanks to all for the advice. As I have read elsewhere, this is supposed to be a pretty nice place. As for Tybee Island, I was planning on it. Man that food looks good!
