Quicker way to stow tarp lines II

I enjoyed all the great ideas from my first thread, thank you all. I feel that the best solution is to have the pockets at the guy line points to stow the lines but I don't have a sewing machine and needed another idea. Redmarbleshoe had posted that he used kite handles. For me that would be too big and too much weight but I liked the idea and here is what I ended up with.

I've been home from work for about 30 minutes. I came home and made this, shot the pictures and posted in under 45 minutes. These are easy to make. I have 8 guy lines and 2 ridge lines so I'd need 10 of these. I can't imagine how 10 could weigh an ounce. They are feather light.

I have my lines tied with taunt line hitches but if I were installing these with a new tart, I'd drill a hole instead of the J slot and run my lines through them and allow them to stay fixed on my tarp. I just didn't want to have to untie and re-tie all my lines.

    I call it the GUMBY

As I'm sure many here are well aware, they say that necessity is the mother of invention. I never cease to be amazed by the ingenuity of our forum members. Great job!

I will probably take off some of the length of the 4 tips. That much depth isn't needed so they'd be shorter. I'd also make the J slot further into the center. It's current location make that tip a bit weak. It doesn't feel weak at all but moved down, there would be little chance of getting it caught and pulling that end off.

By the way, that orange line is the standard 8" non-tangle line that comes with the Speer tarps. If anyone has an idea, I'm ready to listen.

Why is it I have the strange feeling that these are going to be made and sold at the HF store or at Arrowhead?

    cord stuff sack by Exped

How about these - this is what Exped includes with their tents. Has anyone used these?

If it works well, this would certainly be a simple solution (or so I think, not having made any yet).

Velcro cable ties (from the hardware store) also work well to secure the coiled tarp lines.
