    Hey guys & gals,

geared up for my 5 day trip on the AT Starting Sunday 5/30/10 ending 6/4/10. Going 30 miles from NY 17A to Bear Mountain Inn.

Figured I would do a soup to nuts video series starting from what I was wearing, to what I have in my pack, to actually how I pack it in the ULA Circuit.... right down to weighing the pack.

I've made references to a bunch of cottage industries I will be providing links in the youtube videos just give me some time. Took me 7 hours to process the videos and to put them on the net.

Of course I will be video taping my trip as well.

    Hope you enjoy,

Very informative vid, Raul. I like to see what others are bringing for their trips. It wasn't but 2 yrs ago I went for a weekend trip of 26 miles in the Smokies and carried 55 pds.!!!!(I was a ground dweller at the time)

Yeah, I've dropped a few pds. since then. Have a wonderful time, and we expect a full trip report ! Perhaps we'll meet at a hang someday.

Great job on your videos. I always like to see what others cary, buy not too many show how they pack out their packs. Do you carry a camera? I always wanted to cary Snicker bars, but worry of them melting. Do you have this problem? I like to have a whistle. It is louder than me yelling for help.

Yes carry a camera just was using it to film. Goes in the hip pocket with the snacks. So far no significant melting but supposed to be in the upper 80s the week I'm hiking

Nice stuff there Raul!!!! I'm always impressed by the videos that are put up on here, I wish I was able to do the same thing!!!
One hint for you with the gathering water with the platy's thing, if you have another liter or half liter platy bag (or buy one) cut the top off of it so you now have a scoop to gather your water and then pour it into your liter platy or big zip platy, which ever, what I've done is just this and I also took a cut of pantyhose and cover the top of my drinking platy so any floaties don't get in !!!
    Just an idea for you!?!?

Real nice video series. I like watching all the videos here. I glean little bits and pieces of information / ideas from all of them. Which helps me to refine, update and add to my own pack system. Thanks for sharing.

I think I'll just take the foster pot and use it as a scoop if I'm having issues again thanks for the idea!

Thanks for taking the effort to put all of that together - I always enjoy seeing everything that goes into a packing system, and you provided a great level of detail. I do many things very similarly.
