    Talking New Hammocker... 51st State?

    Hey everybody, glad to be a part of the forum! A friend just recently introduced me to hammocks, and WOW, I am sold! Two nights ago was my first time ever in one, and despite the off-and-on rain and high winds, it was very comfortable. So much easier and cleaner than a tent. I look forward to learning from you and hopefully enjoying some outings with whoever is nearby. I live about 1.5 hours North of Asheville, NC, about 30 minutes from Linville Gorge, Mt. Mitchell, and Roan Mountain (highest elevation on the AT). Would love to do some short trips to get familiar with the hammock thing once I get one .

    I'm a noob too, but this site has so much information it's hard to digest it all. Trying to decide which setup you want, or maybe a compination of multiple setups is challenging, but there's no way you can go wrong. Be sure to check out the videos offered. You'll learn a TON.
