1st unread, but not???

has anyone else been clicking on "1st unread message" at the top of the threads, but realized that the post it took you to was not the 1st post that you had not seen?
i've noticed this a number of times in the last while. oh well... i may have missed a couple along the way

happens to me sometimes because the prior time reading a thread I had not gone to the last page of a thread and then just marked all the threads read

i've had that happen too, but i know that's my fault
but i've seen several times now where i know i had read the last post on a page, but next time i used that feature, it took me several posts past my last read, even on the same page.

Nope. When I check the forums, I use the 'New Posts' option at the top to get a list of updated threads, then click the arrows in the 'last post' column to skip to the end (opening each in a new tab in Firefox). As long as it hasn't been long since I've read the forum, there is rarely more than a couple of posts in a given thread to scroll back through.
