    Inova

Although I'm VERY new to hammocking (2 nights in back yard) with my new Claytor Jungle, I use a INOVA 24/7 (www.inovalight.com/247.html). It weighs 2.6 oz and has 8 functions: low light, high light, signal strobe, S.O.S. strobe, 3-color distress strobe, 2-color emergency beacon, locator beacon, and a night vision red functions. It has a metal clipo on back and comes with a very light weight head band, neck lanyard, magnetic clip. The low light and red night vision works great in the hammock and the high beam is good for walking, around camp, etc.

Some reviewers say that it can get turned on in your pack, etc because you can't lock the modes down (rotates). It has never been a problem for me and if I were concerned, I'd just put a piece of tape to hold it. It does require a special battery. I always carry a spare.

I have been using a PrincetonTec Scout for awhile now and it has served me well but the Petzl E+ looks real enticing. I may have to get one. Thanks for the info.

I picked up one a BookOwl several months ago and absolutely LOVE it.
It's super light weight (about 1 oz), comfortable (no batter pack on the back to get in the way), is super bright, and is adjustable. It has a hinge joint to adjust the light beam up and down, but I have found it works as a clip to wrap around my ridgeline.

I really like the features of the E-Lite. I might think about getting one of those.

I am also a huge fan of my E-lite. Absolute best lamp I have ever
owned. The switch did however jam on the second day I got it and has
never worked properly since. When you switch it all the way clockwise it
gets jammed at the 'off' position but will no longer go one notch further
to 'lock'. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Anyone know how to fix that?

I bought my first E+ light from my local outfitters and the switch did not work on low beam. I returned it and bought one from Ebay (because it was cheaper) and it has worked fine since.

If you have an outfitter that sells the light locally, go and buy a new one and return the one that is not working.
