    sleeping bags

What kind of sleeping bags do people use in their hammocks? The reason I ask is I found one rated to 0 degrees with a memory foam pad in it for $25 at a local Wallyworld. Just wondering what any of your alls opinion on a bag like this would be.

Many of us her use a top quilt such as a JRB No Sniveler. Others use their sleeping bag quilt style without zipping it up. A few still zip theirs up.
That Wally World bag would have to be awfully heavy IMO.

There are some threads here about doing that.

My bag is pretty old may 15 years old if not older. It has flannel on the inside. I'm not sure how much it weighs, but my thought was to remove the zipper and sew up the sides, top and part of the bottom(leave a hole for supension to go through. Then I woud add straps to the four corners and run some lines from them to my rings.
