    Cool WB first hang pics

I brought my new WB 1.1 Dbl / Black Mama tarp out in the wild last weekend on a motorcycle camping trip. It was a quick 3 day jaunt through Mt. Rainier and across the Columbia River to Mt. Hood.

Here's the setup at Ohanapecosh campground in Mt. Rainier...

...overnight temp was around 40, and frankly I was a little chilly...I had a 3/4 thermarest for bottom insulation, and I think my older Marmot bag is rated for ~35 even with the goretex lining. I'm not ready to invest in an UQ just yet, I could just pack the full length thermarest next time around. Regardless, I got a good night's sleep and it's way betterer than sleeping on the ground.

The next night was at Rock Creek Campground in Mt. Hood Nat'l Forest...

...overnight temps in the 50s, I was warm and cozy, had a great sleep. A slight drizzle developed overnight, and the BM tarp sheltered me and equipment without issues.

Good gear. Good purchase. I'm super happy with it.

Nice pics. I also have WB 1.1 Dbl / Black Mama tarp. Great combo. Sounds like going to the full length at lower temps may help. You can always use the hot water bottle trick if you are chilly. Put boiling water in Nalgene bottle, stick bottle in wool sock. Stick inside sleeping bag with you. Usually puts out heat for about 6 hours for me.

Nice gear and nice hang locations. Getting insulation right always takes some practice.

Yes nice pics indeed. If you want to keep using the inflattable pads look at the Speer Pad Extender at Speer Hammocks. I think he has stopped making them (but not for sure) and it is a very effective/light/affordable way to use the inflattable pad, keep it in place, and augment the side coverage to prevent cold-shoulder-wrap.
