3/32, 1/8, 5/32 ?? this is for the long side (head to toe)

I use 1/8 for most applications. Much smaller than that and I have found that the cold weather makes it relax too much. Sometimes even the 1/8 stuff can need some tightening when it starts getting really cold....
It also sometimes depends on WHO you get your cord from that determines how stretchy it is. I am still getting mine from OWF. I have gotten some from the SupplyCaptain but it was too stretchy. YMMV of course

It also depends on what you are trying to control. For my old sleeping bag underquilts I finally had to go to 3/8" in order to control the weight of that beastie. Again YMMV.
