Shocking news

I was going to PM bomber some suggestions of flights we could take up there.
But then i discovered that the prices gone up over 100 % ?

Have a look.

Do you guys up there have clue whats going on ?
Is it that much cheaper if buy the ticket in advance ?

Sure is !

I tried the same dates in November, have a look .

For me 1300 Sek (175 Us$) felt ok for a return ticket,
but that is now 2800 Sek (378 Us$) and it feel's a bit steap .
I wonder what this sums up to for Bomber ?
My misstake, since i thought it was fixed prices.

Sorry guys, but i think i am backing down from this one.
But now we know this for the next try

What do you guys think ?

That seems a little bit expensive for a weekend, I understand if some of you get seconds thougts about this event even though we´re talking about "paradise on earth".....

But I hope that someone will attend so that I wan´t be alone there. It isn´t really the same comparing equipment and testing snake juice when you´re on your own

Hope that something can be done about it so you can attend!

So much that i fell out of my hammock

Well... now i´m back in my hammock and have started to breath again.... gonna contact some travel agencys and the railway tomorrow... hopefully i will find something more reasonable....

Does our wish list look like this ?

Arvidsjaur
Lycksele
Skellefteå
Luleå

When i searched flights months ago i found Next Jet to Lycksele for 1300 Sek.
That price has gone up to 2800 Sek.
So that's not an option anymore.

SAS seems to only fly to Skellefteå and Luleå ?
How do you get from, let's say Skellefteå to Arvidsjaur ?

I found a 2 hour bus for 200 sek between Luleå and Arvidsjaur.

Maybe, we shall have the hang here at Djurgården instead , we can even watch rain dears and elks at Skansen

First of all my: S.H.I.T Pommes Frites were censured by the forum rules, it became **** Pommes Frites

Second of all, avoid Luleå if possible, it´s at least 250km from Laggträsket. Umeå is also at least 250km but from there you can hitch with one of the other hangers.

If you can make it to Arvidsjaur, Lycksele or Skellefteå I can arrange to pick you up. But not at all 3 places at the same time, I´m not that flexible and fast

If you come by train instead, Bastuträsk is the best option.

I´m out hiking 21th to 29th of august so during that time you won´t be able to contact me.

Then, it seems like SAS --> Skellefteå is the best option, at least for me !

This is the flight i am eying at the moment:
fr 10.sep ARN - SFT 14:30 - 15:40 SK1016
må 13.sep SFT - ARN 14:45 - 15:50 SK1017

Price = 1083 SEK

What do you think Bomber, does that suit you , or do you got other plans?
I am ready to press the BUY button, wanna do that before the price skyrocket again

I confess, i am a gear nerd !
The reson for for showing up at this hang, is first off all to meet fellow hangers.
But second, is all the GEAR

Is anyone planning to bring some interesting GEAR to the hang ?

I can bring some stuff if people are interested.

Oh my god, you really are a nerd (in a positive way)

Well, it´s hard to say what of those things I´m most interested in seeing, bur the Underquilts and the Alpaca is what I´m VERY interested in but actually I probably would like to check everything out. That lightweight tent I´ve never seen before, that would be something to carry when going to the mountains where there ain´t any trees.

By the way, I was in Laggträsket today making sure there where plenty of firewood at the location for our hangout and I was not disappointed....
I also saw a capercallie when I walked through the woods and I always get scared when they start up flying. I always think that it is a bear....
