You locals are of course free to set me right, if any thing is uncorrect.
I been digging for info about getting to Laggtrasket.
It seems like the closest town is Malå .
I snipped some info there and translated that with google, the english button didn't work for me.
Services: Airports for scheduled flights are within 85 km distance in Arvidsjaur and Lycksele. Most of the traffic to Malå via Lycksele Airport, just over one hours drive from Malå. The flight time from Lycksele to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is approximately 1 hour. Journeys to and from the airport is facilitated by a well-ordered air taxi service. Länstrafiken in Västerbotten County is responsible for the local traffic within the municipality and to the larger towns in the surrounding municipalities: Skellefteå, Arvid Jaures, Sorsele, Norsjö, Bastutrask and Lycksele. To a large extent maintained road with convenient and fast coaches. Trains go through Bastutrask the northern tribal court.
I was thinking it would be nice to get up there by sleeping train,
but found out after a quick search that takes about 15 hours, several changes of train and around 1500 - 2000 Sek for a round trip.
Flying on the other hand takes about 1 hour and costs 1300 Sek for both ways.
I think i will fly !
That, might be a problem with the fuel (LPG/White Gas) for the stoves.
Maybe the locals can pick up some fuel for us that flies there

Hope you guys are going to fill us in w/ a trip report & pictures!
Good to see these hammock hangs happening far & wide!!!
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Sounds like a lot of good energy going into this ... hope like Slowhike to see a lot of pictures, videos and tall tales come out of this. Hope you guys can make an annual or semi-annual event we can all share ... at least virtually!
Like Shug says ... it'd be great to someday have an international hang. That'd be something!
Come to think of it ... Shug ... we could start an international "down & hammock" smuggling ring!
WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.
