Okay, Part 2 is done. Tyler is at some of his goofy best in this video. There's a lot of footage of the rock shelter below the intersection of Rough Trail and Pinch-em-tight where we saw several salamanders in the stream there. The overlook is near "Initial Rock" where Maddie got to lounge last year, but the incoming storm cut our visit short.

Hope everyone enjoys the videos as much as I did making them. \

It's a tradition that I hope lasts a long time. No worries in the short term--they won't let me off the hook!

I was impressed with how well both the kids hiked into the gorge on the RRG hang. Keep up the good parenting!

(Waiting patiently for you RRG video. )
Thanks for the compliments, Don! I'm very proud of my kids, and they do love backpacking. RRG video is next on the list!

He wants to go while there is snow on the mountain. Seems he's not so interested in getting ready for a single night out but is willing to drive 2000 miles each way (or ride is a better description...) to climb a "big mountain". At least he still wants to go. I hope Tyler and Maddie continue to love time in the outdoors with Dad.
Great story, Jay--I'm sure there will be "bumps in the road," but I think that the foundation I'm laying will stay with them. Let me know how the mountain climb works out!

Tyler and Maddie said to ask you to tell Taylor "Hi" and that they had fun playing with him. Hope you enjoy the videos!

You should have seen the look on Tyler's face when he saw that "Mr. Shug" told him Happy Birthday... Priceless. Thanks.
