    New from N. AL

New here as of 5/22. Been lurking around and gathered enough excellent info from other members to order my first hammock. I decided to start with a WBBB 1.7 DL and Superfly w/ door kit. I'm 6'4"/235lbs and need something that could handle the load. The wait for it to ship is going to painful. I hope Brandon has enough in stock to ship out this week.

Will be section hiking the Pinhoti Trail and AT with a buddy of mine. I've told him about the forum, and he is looking into getting a hammock also.

Great forum, and it seems to be more civilized than most forums I have visited(sports, autos, etc.).

Welcome. You have some good gear to start with.

Thanks, the fact it is Made in USA is enough for me to order from Brandon, and the overwhelming amount of positive reviews is even sweeter.

    TigerStripes,

I assume your forum name is to show your support for that other university in Alabama that shall remain nameless.

I have a 1.7 and Superfly on the way...looking forward to getting it and trying it out. Hopefully Brandon still has some in stock, I waited four weeks for mine.

Anyway, welcome to the forum from the Gulf Coast of Alabama, by way of, being born and raised in North Alabama.

Welcome TigerStripes, I am also in N. AL and an AU grad. (assuming something about your name).

I think that you will like the WBBB 1.7. I have the same one and it is very comfortable and well made.

I am hoping to make it to an Alabama hang at some point in the near future. I really want to get out to the Sipsey.

    TigerStripes:
Welcome to HF from a fellow Bama hanger. You have made a great choice in your hammock rig. Good luck on the PT/AT trek and please keep us informed on the trail of how things are going. Keep a watch on the hangout thread, I hope we get another one together in the late fall around Cheaha.

Welcome from north central AL! If you need Pinhoti info don't hesitate to ask! I've thru'd and am currently working on a new mapping project for our home trail.
