Next time, I'll post Part 2 in a separate thread after it is done processing. I could have hiked back to the Watertree in the time it takes YouTube to process a video!
I'd just about bet it's locked up ... approaching four hours ... it shouldn't take more than 2 hours max for a non HD upload.

    MacEntyre,

Thanks for the video, I can't get enough of river gorges. I started backpacking 26 years ago in the Cumberland Escarpment area of TN and there are some really cool places there.
I have not been to Linville Gorge yet, but I'm studying up and this video really helps.

A place I used to camp in was right beside a waterfall, and had an underground spring that fed the waterfall. The water came out below some rocks about 800 meters above the waterfall. I don't know how many people know that because it was very difficult to get to. I never got any photos of it, but have always wanted to go back. I'm eager to see the Watertree! Thanks again for the video!
I like to go solo - off trail - immerse myself in the area - explore - eat really well - and make it back home.

It was great hiking with Mac and Med Man! Even with 50 plus years experience I learn from evry new trail companion. And many thanks for their patience with my slow uphills.

Mac forgot to mention we arrived at the trailhead, hiked to the campsite, and set up in a heavy downpour. Would have been terrible to set up a tent, but a breeze with the Hammocks and tarps.

It was really rough going with the rocks, brush and steep trails, going to stop going there when I get pold!
I THOUGHT GETTING OLDER WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER.
