IX between layers?

Just curious how IX would perform if a sheet of it was inserted between layers of a hammock (rather than hung UQ style). Would it not perform well when compressed? I'm thinking mainly under my feet with a 2/3 length UQ. Would it work better if I just put a piece inside the footbox of my TQ?

Just thinking out loud since I don't have a chance to hang for about 3 weeks.

I was going to try that, 'till the word got out that IX doesn't do well when compressed...still have a batch of unused IX.

Try layering it inside your UQ, if you have one.

Thanks for the reply. I assumed it wouldn't work well when compressed, but figured I'd ask. I was looking at using a piece of IX for under my legs only when using a 2/3 length UQ. I guess I'll re-evaluate that plan to rig the IX under the hammock instead.
