Right now it is dependent on the welder making the prototype. I am expecting the first three by the end of the week. We made final arrangements today. I'll find out more about production times at the end of the week. They said mass producing them shouldn't be a problem.

I'll send more updates when I find out.

My thoughts exactly, paranoia strikes (pun intended) deep.

That's going to take some heavy stock and welding to make the attachment for the hammock support sturdy enough, I'd think.

Yes, I mentioned that to the welder. He said something about what kind of stock he was using and was confident it would work. The prototype will give me a better sense of what changes need to take place.

    I wouldn't worry too much.

1/8-3/16" DOM seamless tube, and a half decent mig, or better yet tig weld on properly prepped and clean joints not problem a good weld is rated at thousands of PSI.

The weakest spot of the whole thing would be the fence tube it self. It is not that thick But I think it's up to the task. My only worry would be if the legs were not on soft ground but rock or pavement, and the tripod of legs started to spread stressing and possibly causing a kink at the Sharp transition of the bottom tube to the leg.

But I really wouldn't worry about it.
    DAVE.

Thanks DarkShadow! I'm confident it will work and eager to get the prototype tested!
