Man Cannibal sorry to hear about your back. I too have back problems and I sleep so much better when I am out in the woods. Except on my back injury I also have a leg that healed up crooked from breakin both my tibia and fibula.
So now that I hurt my back, I end up getting alot of stress on it from the crooked leg. The last time I hurt my back I had one Dr tell me I had a herniated disc and then the workers comp Dr said I didn't. To this day I still feel a bump on my lumbar region of my spine.
Hope you get feeling better dude. I am just right behind you in age(38) and tell everyone my body tells me I am 90.

I have had a problem with my knees since I was 14, doing labor all my life had me favoring my knees sacrificing my back. Now that I am only nearing 30 my back is wrecked!

I was unsure about using a hammock because of my back but was put on it because of a few in the know. Now to learn that not only does it not hurt your back but help, I am ecstatic!

    Back problems stink

Well as with what happened to our friend Cannibal at the beginning of this thread happened to me at work yesterday. At the moment I am unable to walk without it feeling like someone is running a knife across my lumbar region. Every little step my back tighten up and stops me dead in my tracks.
The worst part is I had an overnighter planned for this Sunday with Doctari and Bonsaihiker. I was really looking forward to this trip, but now that I am on day 2 of this back injury and still can't move there is no way I will be ready to go by Sunday.

I don't wish these things on anyone. Hope it gets better sooner instead of later.
Best get your hammock set-up in the bedroom.

Its funny you said that b/c I actually told my wife that last night. I told her I wished I could figure out a way to hang at least one of my hammocks in our room.

Oh how sweet is youth! ( says the 61 year old on his way out the door to the Chiropractor! ) I remember the mid 30s, when I was still a young stud! ( or felt like it any way, I realize now)
