How do you wash a nasty HH?

Ive been sleeping in my HH for many moons without cleaning it. Not sure how to do it.. Is it safe to put it in a washer considering the fragile netting attached?
    Thanx, bill

You can on the gentle cycle I believe (but not sure if it matters if it's a front or top loader)! I just hand wash mine in the bath tub, wring it out, and hang it to dry!

I've washed mine in the washing machine and haven't had any trouble-yet.

I'm not that brave and I wash my netted hammocks by hand washing them. Usually in a 5 gallon bucket and good detergent.

Mesh laundry bag, gentle cycle with woolite, Dreft or Nikwax gear wash detergent. Washed lots of gear this way.

I've washed my gear with woolite and gear detergent as well. Usually hand wash but may try the mesh bag as pgibson suggested.

Given a choice I would use a front loader as the action is more of a tumble and less reciprocal. YMMV
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I too have successfully washed my hammock. If it has the zip mod, be sure it's zipped up before washing. I also recommend a front loader on a gentle cycle. Hang to dry.

I like the mesh bag idea of you are going to machine wash. Nikwax tech Wash in the bath tub, and a gentle scrub brush would work well, too.
