John... Sometimes its best to keep it simple. That $.30 of wire works better then the $40 in splicing tools I bought. Oh well.

Exactly the same way i make mine, i just wanted clarification as to it being correct. The issue i was having was making the locked brummel, as it is made differently from what i can tell from the locked brummel pictoral. I've been annoying opie with pms about these things lately, but he always answers! Keep up the good work opie. I can attest to the quality of his work, i bought guylines from him, all consistent in their apperance which is not always an easy thing to do when splicing.

Oh yea, i case anyone is interested, you can put beads on these if you want to prevent the lock closing on itself, but i believe opie says they are unnecessary, just an fyi.
