    jungle hangin

This happened back in 92. I was a young army sergent on a mission in Columbia. We had been out for 15 days (there about, mind is failing me after 18 years) we had settled in for the night hanging our hooches and hammocks high as not to block any animal from their trails. About, 4a.m I awoke too some rustling looking over to the center of our camp I saw 3 capybara. I decided to get up and shoo them away so no one else would make noise when they seen the animals( my guard must have fallen asleep). I stepped out of my hammock only to discover there was a ten foot anaconda hunting the capybara and his sniping hide was directly under me.
Hope everyone enjoyed this tale of days past. It made me smile again, even in bad times funny things happen. Remember that as our great country The United States of Amercia are in hard times.

my service was a PLEASURE and A HONOR. I LOVE THIS COUNTRY and if any one doesnt they need to step out and see some of the world. The bad thing is we have places in this country that is just as bad as any third world country and noone gives a rat... well ya know. I enjoyed remembering the old days and good friends some who have passed. Remember dont mourn our dead celabrate them cause that is what they would want.

not exactly sure who was more startled. I might have been, cos I never wear shoes around camp and when I was doing these type of missions I wore mosscins so I bacicly never had boots on. I did have to go find a tree though.

I also served, but make it a point to thank a vet.
