Do you purposely have EXTRA hammocks?

I will receive a blackbird tomorrow and my current rig will fall by the wayside. I've already slept in my fiance's 1.0dbl and know my 1.1dbl will be deliciously comfortable. My "extra" hammock will not do anymore now that I'm living in the lap of luxury.

Now, I can't shake the feeling that I need another blackbird for a backup or a loaner. I'd like a 1.7dbl to round out the set, but I know I don't NEED it. Heck, I don't even have trekking poles, a day pack, gravity filter, or a TQ (still using a sleeping bag) yet so I still have other things on my list of things I need for backpacking. Am I crazy for wanting another blackbird or does this happen to others as well? For now, I'll go on fighting the urge to splurge and keep going down my list of needed gear before duplicating anything.

I have only 3 hammocks, & none of them are "On purpose" They are actually hammocks #2, #3 & #4, number 1 is now: gear hammock, stuff sacks & etc.

I have a few Eno DN's. I always keep one on the Dual Sport and one I use strictly for normal hikes.

Yep you have slipped away. I have like 8 packs right now, For some reason I can only get one on my back at a time. 3 of them are medium Golite Ion's I say that one is for my wife to use and one is for my oldest son to use but it's all lies they are all mine mine mine (insert evil laugh here) I have one set of bolts in the house to hang from but how many hammocks could I string up if only I had some more bolt I like gear

I have almost as many hammocks as I do kayaks. I have 15 kayaks!

When it comes to hammocks, my extra's mostly come from DIY.
