    Exclamation

Several posts advise procedures which may cause permanent damage leading to unexpected strap failure.

I like to consider the physical properties of the materials I use, and whatever comes into contact with them; chemical resistance, for example.

By nature, tree slings get dirty. I keep mine in a separate sack and wash them with water.

beep - I didn't know turpentine was made from sap... good to learn something new every day.

Chad - yes prevention is nice... but it doesn't solve problems just helps to avoid problems.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.
