Looking at all the possibilities...can tyvek make a reasonable weather shield to keep the underquilt dry instead of more expensive driducks etc.? How is the breathability here?

I made a synthetic underquilt out of tyvek with no ill results. Is my summer quilt. It also looks like a nappie on the hammock.
I used 1443 kite tyvke. It has some breathablility but I have never found a measurment for it. I have also made a bivy out of the stuff which will feature in a alpine trip in Canada in 3 weeks time. I use it more to protect my sleeping bag from the ground. Had it down to -4C a few nights ago in oz with no condensation inside. I did keep my head out allnight as it was clear and still.
