I've been hiking a lot this Spring and Summer. I am complete from Springer to Hwy 42 south of Bland, all in section hikes. However, my knee became very sore and swollen week before last and I've been off almost 2 weeks now. I went to the Doctor last Friday and he said "rest it" was all I could do. Also, my Mom got a bad case of food poisoning last weekend and just got out of the hospital yesterday. So I have been in Mississippi since Sunday. I still haven't given up on completing the Trail a second time this year, but lots of things will have to fall into place for me to do so.

Anybody want to buy a house?

Its about 10 miles from the Trail two ways, Hwy 16 at Mt. Rogers Ranger Station and Atkins.
