The very first time I went out camping with my hammock, an ENO singlenest... I hung the thing too tight and too high... I flipped the thing getting in landed right on a tree root I hung above.

My two best friends managed to get out "You alright?" and I managed a groaned "Fine" before they busted up laughing and I have NEVER heard the end of it. Never mind that I have never fallen out in their presence on any of our other trips... they always end up laughing about it everytime we head to the woods.

could be worse...met some thru hikers on the AT. They had tied up to 3 trees, and the one tree that they were both tied to was dead. It fell on top of one of them and missed his head by inches. Good reason to pick trees while there is still light!

Amen to that. Safety first. I've yet to fall, but I haven't experimented much
