    Well Shoot!!!

I am going on a hike at the end of the month and was wanting to buy a new hammock for this hike. I have been debating a Warbonnet Blackbird for a while to replace my Speer. I just checked the site and see that they are out of stock on the 1.7 double which I need because I am far from your typical backpacker sizewise. Anyone know how long they usually stay out of stock?

Warbonnet is a one man operation - your best bet is to send an email and let Brandon know exactly when you're leaving and see whether he will be able to have one ready by then. There are no guarantees, but his customer service has been really good when I've dealt with him, and he rushed to make sure my hammock arrived in time for a trip I had planned, when I bought my first Blackbird.

Brandon is a very busy man. It seems as if he almost always has a back log of orders. His gear is that popular. It took me a little over 30 days to get mine. From reading here I would guess the average to be 2/3 weeks from ordering. You can not go wrong with a WBBB double 1.7. Which is what I got. It is a amazing piece of craftsmanship and worth every second of the wait. Remember quality takes time.

I read in another thread that it can take a while sometimes. People that own WB'd always say they are worth the wait and people that have been waiting agree as soon as they receive them.

I ordered mine (a 1.7 DL traveler, not a BB) 3 weeks ago - still waiting on it to ship.

My BB 1.7 double took right at three weeks to get to me after I ordered it in late May.

    It was worth the wait.

The waiting is always the worst part....sorta like a kid on a long car trip.... "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?"
