Well let us know when you get this way again. I can't do anything strenuous, but a multiday outing would be welcome. I can't get sir gravy to go with me because he wants to bring his boat.

Thanks Guys, planning another one. Hope to get out again for another short hike in a few weeks. Getting down right hot during the day down here in the valley, got to head up.

Wow, just an hour from your home. You are so lucky, dude.

And another WOW, you still have snow. Here I sit today in flatland Oklahoma City with temps in the mid-90s and humidity above 60%. Again you are one lucky dude.

Thanks for sharing the pics. One of my trip goals in the next year or so is to backpack Idaho. If you got any suggestions for a 50 mile or so loop for 4-5 days, I would love to hear about.

@pgibson, where are you located in Idaho? Only an hour away from scenery like that? Took me about 3 hours to get to Stanley from Boise when I went up that way in 08.

Hey outkastblast, I am in Mt Home. That is up on the back side of Soldier Mt above Fairfield. I grew up in Boise but moved down here a couple years ago. I don't think I would want to hike in this area much later in the year as it will get so dry but for early season it was pretty nice and I know the snow levels are still pretty low in Stanley so this worked out nice. And it was pretty close, even for you. Let me know if you want to get out and hike some time, I have a lot more short trips planned for this summer.

    Paul
