Welcome HeadRush! I'm glad you were there on the Northern Trail hike... somebody's gotta kept Shug in line
I too will something make and joy in it's making
It was nice hiking with you last weekend on the NCT.
You should be proud you kept up with all us "old guys"; actually, you lead us most of the time!
It was cool to see you suck up all that backwoods knowledge (as well as picking up a few circus tricks).
Keep it up!
Not all who wander are lost.
Hey HeadRush!!
It was fun sharing the toads with ya at camp. The large one was my favorite. Glad ya had fun. Hope to see you again sometime on the trail!

Welcome to the forum headrush!
Welcome from SC. Your excitement in Shug's vid was awesome! It brought some memories of my firt trips (camping and backpacking) when I joined the boy scouts many moons ago

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.
Welcome headrush!
Sooo.......are you the official fire starter on the Northern Trail now?
Good job, and many happy years of backpacking, 'cause carrying a pack is "loads of fun".
Get it? Loads of fun?
All the best to you and your dad.
I like to go solo - off trail - immerse myself in the area - explore - eat really well - and make it back home.
Hey Headrush,
welcome to the HF forums!
You have been made a movie star, I mean "Video" star.
Oh, and BTW along with the secret handshake(they did show you the secret handshake, did they not?), you learned at the recent Northern Hang, they should have also let you know secretly that YOU have to carry ALL of the heavy stuff for all of us olde' geezers, so that we can remain gram weinies to our friends.
And you aren't suppose to let anybody know that you are picking up the slack for us either.
And when we are in "Bear Country" Headrush will be the one to walk out in front of all the gram wienies, and also has to be the slowest runner!
If you have any questions, please refer them to HawkEye (one of the Gorge Rat Brothers), he is a very serious , mentally healthy , and knowledgeable old sage, that we refer most of the real tough questions to. He is always willing to give us a quick and straight forward answer.
Another person that we refer some of the hard Hammock questions to is Ewker.
Happy trails,

Welcome HeadRush! Wow I wish I had been introduced to hammocks when I was your age. Looks like yer gonna get in plenty of hangin years. Have fun!

I'm looking forward to those pics, HeadRush. I like pictures of fires. If you took any, be sure to include them. It was fun to see you making a fire in the video. You added a nice spark to the video!
