Recent South Georgia Hang?

I am headed to South GA. This weekend for first outing with a hammock. Highs around 100, lows at night mid to high 70's. Has any one been in the area recently? or similar weather, with input on staying cool,

I lived in that area for about 4 years in the late 90's (Tifton GA). Get ready for the heat & humidity! Even worse will be the gnats. Not to be a spoil sport but they will be swarming all over you from sun rise to dark-thirty...

Everyone talks about the friendly folks from South Georgia because they are always waving hello at strangers, truth is they are actually shooing the gnats out of their faces.

From whaat I remember in the summer the heat of theday lasted well into the late night. I would not expect the 70* low to appear until right before dawn with 90"s until 11:00 pm and 80"s most of the night.

The hammock should be cooler than a tent though. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
