    Looking for inland lake campsite

I recently got a little boat and motor that I'm hoping to take to northern michigan but not over the brig. I am looking for a inland lake that i can find a nice campsite with my boat an spend a few days catching eating blue gills and relaxing. I would like to go in the middle or late july when its hot out so maybe can go swimming too. If anyone knows of a place or would like to come along let me know. I would like to stay away from the dnr campsites. Think it would be nice to stay on the unbeatin path if at all possiable. I would want to stay legal of course with the right permits. Thank you.

I found a little lake that boast fish and is only habited on one side is 209 acres. but the only problem is the land is state game land and you can't desperse camp on state game(or at least this land) between may 15 - september 1. O the lakes name is murphy lake and it's in tuscola county. If anyone would like to join me on this I would be able to go in september. If not happy trails.

I might be up for that. My schedule is hectic, but keep me posted.

I have the same problem, here in Wisconsin. Most of the good fishing lakes have summer homes on them and speed boats. I can give some advice on Wisconsin lakes, however not sure if this would help or not. I know of a few lakes where you can drive your boat up to a beach right on your campsite. Let me know if you want want with Wisconsin lakes. I found a few Michigan lakes just over the Wisconsin / Michigan border that meet your needs as well, right along HWY 2.

Murphy lakes about an hour from me. I want to go there and fish this summer sometime I'll scout out some good spots to camp. September is usely nice in michigan. I would like to camp on the wisconsin/michigan some time too that would be a real treat. but I don't think I would be able till next year. I'm still looking for full time work and up there I know I would want to stay Atleast a week. I just can't make that comentment right now. Thanks alot Happy trails
