Daughters New Bed!!!!!!

A little background into this thread. My daughter came to live with me for the summer at the end of last month from New Orleans, LA where she lives with her mother. I purchased the house that we are living in at the first of January and was asked by here to not put her room together until she could "help" me do it with her. We during all of that time she was only able to visit with me twice, soccer season was in full swing, and we tried to cram all we could into those weekends that she was here. Room was lower on the list than family time and friends!!!!!!!!

While we were putting her room together earlier this month, I was putting her bed together and she looks up at me and says: "daddy, can I get a hammock stand instead of my bed in my room?" All I could do was look at her with my mouth hanging wide open and then grin at her like a jackass eating briars!!!!!!!!!!!! Well after getting it built in my parents basement and letting her try it out for a little while she was determined to have it in the house. Well tonight she is getting her wish and I am a little jealous to say the least. I made it after "Risk's" stand with a few modifications. I was very easy to build and not very expensive to build.........wood was donated from the house site my father is General Contractor at, how sweet is that!!!!!!!!!! I only had to purchase the 10' stick of EMT conduit.

She is so excited that I am going to have to break out the Tylenol PM so I can get some sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GP:
She has two choices where she can go to college..........Alabama or Tulane. Either way she is a local and both are great schools. She has been informed since birth, as well as us as parents, that if she goes to LSU she will be disowned and disavowed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Grandparents can be brutal!!! Not hard to fit this stand in a small room, her room is only 12' X 9', and when the bed is gone she will have more room to move around in. I have just been asked when I will be able to put up my ENO DN so the cousin can sleep in a hammock with her, double decker style!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's great ... that's sort of what Mac did for his daughter Thing1 and I think the bed is gone.

She's going to end up at USC.
