No pic, but I was watching a flick that was heavy on symbolism last weekend, Ballad of the Sad Cafe, and in it, the dwarf (Devil) was lounging in a hammock. What can it mean?

I just received an email from e-bay with an auction of a file photo of a GI with a tommy gun showing the new jungle hammock designed for WWII. I liked the photo and the sample image surprisingly was very good quality, since what they really are selling is the original. It comes with a sample of a news bulletin about the photo.

I've been going through the single season of Firefly...such a good show, imo...but I noticed a little detail I'd not noticed before:

(reposted from the new thread I started because I couldn't find this one. Thanks, Knotty!)

    Hammock in Thailand

This is a picture I took last week when traveling south of Bangkok to the floating market. This hammock caught my eye and I had to get a picture. The material felt like ripstop nylon.

Great find - that last picture of the Rawlinson brothers ranch house is great - shotguns on the walls, pictures of the missus, and an indoor Brazilian hammock rig The more things change...
