    Need to borrow a pack/poles

I am appealing to the kindness of the forums with this post. I am hoping someone will lend me a pack (45-55L) to outfit a hiking companion. I have had a last minute stroke of luck and my friend will be able to do the AT/BT 55 mile loop. I have enough of everything else to outfit him, he just needs a pack and cannot afford one. I am a responsible gear owner who has been utilizing delicate ultralight gear for some time-which a clumsy/careless person cannot really use 2-3 times without ruining. So you can count on your gear being taken care of and cleaned before being sent back.

I also need a pair of lightweight hiking poles if possible(im 5’8” and I recently stepped on a nail and am in the healing process which is nearly complete, but I think poles would help) Our trip will be a 4-5day trip, we will use a pack cover if you wish on the pack. If any gear is damaged, I will glady pay the full price via paypal.

We will be leaving by 7/2 so you will need to ship ASAP. I will reimburse you for the price of shipping via paypal, or i will send you cash if you wish.

    Things I need to borrow:
1 pair of lightweight poles for a 5’7-9” individual
A (40-55L) backpack preferably less than 4LBS. *my buddy is a small guy, with probably a waist smaller than 32inches*

Here is a picture of the nail puncture I am nearly done recovering from:

I know that you are hoping for lightweight hiking poles but have you considered stopping by Wal-mart and picking up a pair of Swiss Gear poles? They are very inexpensive and should work fine if you just need them for this one trip.

Dunno how it is where you live but in FL alot of the Walmarts stopped carrying the SwissGear poles in place of their Outdoor brand or whatever it calls. The Outdoor poles suck royally. I broke 3 of them in store just by telescoping them and extremely light use.
If you do find some of those SwissGear poles then I would definitely get them. I have had a pair for about 5 years and about 100 miles of trail and only now have I begun having problems telescoping them. G/L with your trip.

There are two Swiss gear pole sets listed on Amazon.com ... pretty good price for a set of trekking poles. Not sure if they're the same as Wally World ... but one set has a built in flashlight! Go figure ...

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.
