Thought this might interesting to some to see how this site got started; the first post lists what was available at the time with regard to getting info on camping in a hammock and suggests that there be a webpage to consolidate the links, but scroll down to post #10 to see how HammockForums.net got its start... Aye, I miss the covert world but the double edged sword. Without the growth we'd all still be hot gluing reflextic or windshield sun blocks to closed cell foam to keep our butts warm. Man that sucked.

I think of that first group of members as the aught sixers. As in 2006ers. Must have been fun back then. Still is today but I bet you felt like you knew just about everybody on the forum.
