    What size of UQ

What size of UQ. I only want to do this once.
If I make it too long a climashield quilt is pretty easy to
cut down if I want to later.

Going to order some 2.5 climashield and would like some feedback on how long my UQ should be.

I think I want full coverage for this one btu I am interested in staying as light as possible.

My setup will be a hammock with a sleeve for a CCF pad.
This UQ will go under that. I carry a CCF pad anyway in case I end up on the ground, or to sit on etc.

I might work out some way to add more insul to the UQ for a winter setup.
Not sure on that right now.

My TQ is a golite ultra 20

In the future I plan on building a 2.5oz climasheild topper quilt as an extender and a summer quilt.

If your a backpacker make it a 1/2 to 3/4 ..... if you car camp or canoe camp go all the way.
Mainly about taking up space in the pack.

    Thanks
    Like the vids.
    Keep it up.

    I was thinking maybe a 3/4 with a pocket
for a heavier 1/2 for winter.

    Or the opposite.

42"-45" wide x 50" long is about 3/4 (if you're 5'9") If you're making a double layer hammock, a shortened pad can be used to keep your legs warm...

I have a climashield Lost River (2/3) UQ, but I suffer from cold feet and wish I went full-length...

Climashield comes in 60in wide batts, use the width of the batt as the length of the quilt, making it 58-60in long. That should hit you about knee level, this is where full length quilts tend to sag.
