I'm tying the tarp to the tree with simple truckers hitches and then using the standard tree huggers above the tarp lines, and with the exception of the hammock moving away from the tarp too much I'm generally happy with the rig once I get it set.
The getting it set is the difficult part for me. I can have both tarp and hammock in the trees in under 10 minutes (I'm sure thats slow by some standards) but then I have to either move the tarp or the hammock to get both ends of the hammock under the tarp.
Obviously one easy solution would be to get a bigger tarp to increase the margin of error for the hammock placement.
As much as I might resist I see time in front of a sewing machine in my future...
