    hello from the new boy

    Hi everybody,

    just got my first hammock a DD camping hammock. Already put the carabiner mod on it. Im hoping that when work permits to get out in it for a night or two. i can do some hammock camping along side some bushcraft. so looking for advice from all you experienced hammock campers.

    where's east Anglia

    well done that man!! yes East Anglia is on the east side of the uk, Made up of 6 counties Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire.

    Insulation now that's a big subject in itself.

    So what should I use? UQ or roll mat?

    Welcome Chinook. I hope you have a great time with your hammock and this forum.

    In the weather we have here, 50 to 60 deg at night, I use a closed cell foam mat.

    Below 20 to 15 deg C. I don't know what the exact temp is.
